Hello and welcome to Towers VS. Cubes: My name is Mike, and I'm a student at a game development university in Norway, currently doing my third year. I've been working on and off on different Towers VS. Cubes project for a while while attending school, but this version started development in January this year from a completely fresh project. Feel free to give me feedback or suggestions on the Discord Server, or if you find any issues or bugs.

All progress made in this version will be lost when a new version comes out. If you delete browser cache, you will also lose your progress.

How to Play: Defeat cubes and build mines to gain resources, which you use to buy buildings and upgrade buildings. Gain levels from defeated cubes and spend level points in the talent tree and buy permanent upgrades in the workshop. You can move your characters with WASD or the arrow keys. Hold space to build and upgrade building. Sound volume can be adjusted in the Options.

Cool game, but my data doesn't save after restarting my PC. Hope to get that export/import save file stuff soon so I can actually go end game.

The save is stored in the cache of the browser, meaning if you disable auto delete of this, you should be fine. I will look into import/export saving, but I expect that could take some time due to how certain things were coded.

I have been using browsers based on privacy and security, so that's not really an option for me.

hehehehehe my ID is 10069

nice!

my favorite part of this game is the map designs for the worlds, like the first one is extremely close to a normal td game, the second one is a rts at the start and the third one is...well idk i haven't gotten there yet

I am glad you like it. The map design is what I enjoyed doing the most, and I will definitely be adding more of them at a later date :)

Your name restrictions are inconsistent and doesn't really work very well, considering that I was assigned the name "HonorableShrinkingCantalo", which is way more than the 12 character limit (and more than the 13 characters in the name I would've picked)

Hello, thank you for this report. There seems to be an issue with the naming, as it should automatically name everyone to "Player". The name you were assigned is part of Unity's auto name assignment, which I have yet to figure out why is happening. I used the same code as in my previous game for this, where this issue did not happen. I will look into fixing this for the next version. I will also increase the 12 character limit :) thank you

Thank you for the game. I got #1 on all three leaderboards

That is awesome, thank you so much for playing :D

i like it a lot, i'm wondering what structure defense does though?

(+1)

It reduces incoming damage. So if you have 50% structure defense for example, enemies will only deal half of their usual damage :)

(+1)

Um, the "Decreased mana used by" Defensive upgrade seems to be missing a word.

Also, in the stats, it says "Mana used: 118%" After I upgraded it a few times. Wouldn't that mean that I use MORE mana, not LESS?

(+2)

Yes this is a visual bug in the stats menu. I created the stats page as the last thing before publishing the game, and I forgot to display the mana used by lowering the percentage instead of increasing it.

in the code however when the towers and the player shoot, it uses a formula that is correct. Sorry for this

I think it would be good if there was a way to export your save.

Thank you for the feedback. I agree, however I did not have the time do implement this due to the research project, and I also don't know how to properly do this yet
